Incoming 7^th Grade Students

Michigan law requires all schools assess current students entering 7th grade and students new to the district.  To prevent your student from being excluded from school, please ensure that your student is 100% immunized by the 1st day of school 9/2/2025.

If you choose not to immunize, you must obtain a waiver from the Oakland County Health Department. Call 1-800-848-5533 for an appointment.

First Day of School

On Tuesday (9/2), doors will open at 7:30 am. The Berkshire PTA will be selling locks, planners and spirit wear from 7:30 – 8:15 am for families. For the first day of school, students accompanied by a parent/guardian may walk their child to their locker from 7:30 – 8:05 am (adults must check in with the office first). All other students will need to wait in the appropriate areas until 8:05 am (from 7:30 – 8:05 am, 6^th Grade reports to Cafeteria, 7^th and 8^th graders can go to the hallways in front of the media center, art hallway, all hallways around the gym, or inside the gym for morning rec). From 8:05 – 8:15 am, all students can go to their lockers. We will utilize the following schedule for the first two days (half days) of the school year:

Half Day Schedule for 1^st  TWO Days of School Only (Includes C3)

1^st         8:15 – 8:37 am

2^nd         8:41 – 9:03 am

3^rd         9:07 – 9:29 am

4^th         9:33 – 9:55 am

C3       9:59 – 10:22 am

5^th      10:26 – 10:48 am

6^th       10:52 – 11:14 am
